25.01.17 Gig YDH (Welsh only available...)
Gareth Hughes o flwyddyn 8 buodd yn holi aelodau o'r grwpiau a disgyblion am eu barn!
Roedd pawb yn gyffrous i weld Madarch, Carma a’r Tri ‘Muscatiar’ ar ôl cinio. Dywedodd y bandiau eu bod nhw yn gyffrous i berfformio o flaen pawb.
Daeth pawb i’r neuadd yn y prynhawn ar ôl cinio yn gyffrous i weld y tri band yn perfformio. Dywedodd y bandiau eu bod yn nerfus i berfformio, ond hefyd yn barod. Mae Madarch wedi perfformio o flaen yr ysgol yn barod, blwyddyn diwethaf ac yn yr Eisteddfod Ysgol. Dywedodd Madarch eu bod yn caru y gynilleidfa plant ac am fod yn well na flwyddyn diwethaf! Dywedodd y Tri Muscatiar eu bod nhw yn ofn a nerfus i berfformio oherwydd ei ‘gig’ cyntaf oedd o!
Dechreuodd yr gig efo Carma, band o Langefni. Chwareon nhw gan godi’r awyrgylch yn y neuadd. Dywedodd Holly Hughes fod yr drymiwr yn arderchog ond roedd yr offerynnau yn llawer fwy synllyd na’r canwr. Wedyn daeth Madarch i’r llwyfan gan ddechrau ‘Coblyn o rêf’ fel y dywedodd Hedd Owen. Roedd y gynulleidfa yn canu efo nhw a phawb yn rhedeg o gwmpas.
Chwareodd yr Tri Myscatiar ond roedd Deio, yr chwaraewr gitar yn absennol ohewrydd ei fod mewn cystadleuaeth traws-gwlad. Ond ar y cyfan, dywedodd llawer o bobl eu bod wedi Mwynhau. Dywedodd Storm Liberty o flwyddyn 12 ‘Love it! Best thing I’ve seen in YDH, in the whole time I’ve been here!’, Megan Pritchard ‘Buzzin, having a great time with younger years.’ a Cari Jones ‘Cael hwyl go iawn! Mwynhau!’

In February half term, some Design and Technology students were able to go to Disneyland and Paris for an educational visit.
The trip allowed the students to visit different tourist venues around Disneyland and Paris. Everyone also had the opportunity to practice their French whilst having the opportunity to visit restaurants and shops in Disneyland.
We also saw a lot of the main landmarks in Paris, such as the, louvre, the Arc de triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. By having a tour around Pairs the learners could experience the French culture, as do some shopping!
On the first night the students watched the show Buffalo Bill in Disneyland, and all enjoyed a lovely buffet which was served. Also the students visited Planet Hollywood and Disney's Hotel Cheyenne for evening meals. It was a great experience for all students!
During our stay we visited The Louvre, to see the art and design work there which enhanced the student’s ability to really experience Paris. The students spent a whole day in the Disney Park, where they experienced many attractions in the park and had the opportunity to experience the different roller coaster and rides.
The students also participated in one curriculum-led seminar featuring a Design and technology case study, interviews with Disneyland Paris managers and exclusive behind-the-scenes video footage. During the seminars the students were given the opportunity to see how the roller coasters and rides had been developed in Disneyland and the Walt Disney Studios.
