Celebrating Success

We are very proud of all our learners’ achievements here at Ysgol David Hughes, whether they are academic achievements or otherwise.

During lessons, our teachers and teaching assistants celebrate our learners’ achievements with our good learner stamp, as well as displays of learners’ successes.

There are award ceremonies at the end of the Spring and Summer Term for all school years, with awards and certificates given out for a range of successes, including excellent attendance, valuable contributions, success in sports, good learner awards and outstanding progress.

At the beginning of September, we arrange award nights to celebrate our GCSE and A Level learners’ successes with the parents and learners as they move on with their education.

Also, the ‘praise board’ in our teachers’ room is a chance to congratulate staff on their professional and personal achievements, and our departmental accounts are a platform to share the successes of our learners and staff members with the wider community.
